While I work away on collaborations for content and workshops, I’ve also been putting together a small collection of short fiction – one that will hopefully some day be more than a small collection…

I am pretty excited to get an honorable mention from Pulp Literature; a piece of flash fiction I wrote, titled “No Soap,” made their Bumblebee contest shortlist.

I’m pleased to share that the team at Vallum Magazine has selected my poem, “We Don’t Say I Love You Anymore,” to be featured in their upcoming Summer 2025 issue. The piece is sweet, sad, and a little drippy, but hey, that’s what love is.

I love a good challenge - and so, Fractured Literary’s recent Micro-Fiction contest was the perfect puzzle. The task? Write a piece of flash fiction that’s 400 words or less.

To my delight and dismay, Snaggletooth has been picked up by our friends at Petal Projections, where they have added my ugly beautiful poem to their Fall 2024 print issue of this lovely periodical.

When I wrote “These Things That Happen Never Happened At All,” I felt a need to expose the darkness behind certain derogatory words aimed at women; how they land, and what they mean, and the memories that come along with them.

Peaches is flash fiction. Peaches is a life in five-hundred words. Peaches is impulse, regret, curiosity, anxiety, and nostalgia, it is delicious and peachy, ugly and cruel. And, it’s featured in the Fall 2024 issue of Petal Projections - lookout.

No matter how independent we become, how separately we live and how different we look, Nick and I will always be the twins the world wants us to be.

One of my favorite projects I’ve ever had the pleasure of contributing to was Clarity Wine Magazine, a detailed catalog of wineries in the Okanagan and Similkameen Valleys.

Exciting news! My poem, Witchy, has been long-listed for the CBC Poetry Prize 2021.

Among the collaborations I’ve had the opportunity to contribute to is Build Magazine Okanagan, an in-print magazine that features the contractors, tradespeople, and building specialists of inspiring locations all over Canada and the United States.

I recently had the pleasure of writing an article for a local not-for-profit organization I volunteer for, the Powell River Salmon Society.
